‘New Horizons’ in engaging technologies

The New Horizon Project ‘identities and describes emerging technologies that are likely to have a large impact on teaching, learning, reasearch, or creative expression within education around the globe’. The report identifies key trends, challenges and technologies to watch.  The report also predicts timeframes for their entrance into mainstream for the use in educational environments.

A must read for any innovative educator, this report both challenges and affirms thinking and perceptions of how we incorporate new ideas into our schools. Check out Engaging Thinking to explore a summary of this year’s report.

I would love to hear your comments and reflections about how these findings may effect your classroom.

    Hey Kate,

The recommendation is a great read! I think you may also find the post below to be interesting – it dives into how to use an iPad effectively in the classroom.
